Wichita honors 9/11 first responders with memorial stair climb

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – On Sunday, dozens of firefighters from different agencies honored the lives lost during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack by participating in the 9/11 memorial stair climb in downtown Wichita.

The event requires first responders to climb 2,200 steps or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories in the World Trade Center. Firefighters climbed up and down the stairwells at the Epic Center.
