Gas prices in Eugene surge 26 cents to $4.15, bucking national trend

EUGENE, Ore. — Average gasoline prices in Eugene have risen 26.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.15/g Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 78 stations in Eugene. Prices in Eugene are 32.0 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 63.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 2.6 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.658 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Eugene was priced at $3.85/g Sunday while the most expensive was $4.99/g, a difference of $1.14/g. The lowest price in the state Sunday was $3.51/g while the highest was $5.29/g, a difference of $1.78/g.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.12/g Monday. The national average is down 1.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 2.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country…
