APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (AZFamily) — A body recovery is underway after a car crashed into a canal near Tortilla Flats on Sunday.
Around 6 p.m., Apache Junction Fire crews responded to a crash on Apache Trail near milemarker 213. When they arrived, crews discovered a car had gone down an embankment.
Authorities say the car is about 70 feet down in the canal. It is unclear how many passengers were in the car…
