NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A man is now facing charges after he placed a hoax 911 call about a stabbing in North Miami Beach, which led to a police shooting, authorities said.
Roosevelt Joseph, 21, who is currently homeless, faces charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, misuse of the 911 system and obstructing a police officer.
According to his arrest report, North Miami Beach police officers responded to the 1600 block of Northeast 164th Street around 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 6 after Joseph called 911 and claimed that he had just stabbed a woman…
