Irondale to celebrate 138th birthday with free music festival

IRONDALE, Ala. — Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. is set to host the 4th Annual City of Irondale Music Festival on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in celebration of Irondale’s 138th birthday. The festival will be held at Beacon Park, with gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and the show starting at 4:00 p.m. Admission is free, and no tickets are required.

The festival lineup features Ken Ford, known as the “King of Strings,” who has recorded with artists such as Bruno Mars and Maxwell; Kim Scott, a Billboard chart-topping flutist and the 2024 Smooth Jazz Network Artist of the Year; The Emily Joseph Band, featuring the former lead vocalist for BB King’s All-Star Band; and The Official Clutch Band, a Birmingham-based group known for their unique blend of jazz and R&B.
