SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Suffolk Public Library has introduced Book Bikes, mobile libraries designed to connect the community with what the library system has to offer, according to a press release.
In collaboration with the Friends of the Suffolk Public Library and Pedal! Bike Co., the bikes made their debut atTaste of Suffolk Saturday. Each bike comes with helmets, lights and locks to make sure cyclists ride safely.
All of the bikes were given to families who participate in the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program.
The library system promises the bikes will be featured in the city’s future events…
