Ohio Mother Arrested in Pennsylvania After AMBER Alert for 7-Year-Old Son

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A 32-year-old woman from Brunswick, Ohio, was arrested in Pennsylvania after an AMBER Alert was issued for her seven-year-old son, who authorities say was found in life-threatening condition. Police confirmed the child suffered abuse and torture, leading to a multi-state law enforcement effort that ended with the woman’s arrest.

Arrest Follows AMBER Alert

Authorities identified the suspect as Tiarika Baymon, 32, who was wanted in Ohio after reports surfaced that her son was in imminent danger. An AMBER Alert was issued by Medina County, and police launched a search spanning Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Some of the abuse was allegedly recorded and uploaded to Instagram, prompting urgent action. Officers tracked Baymon across state lines, ultimately locating her in Ross Township and Avalon, near Pittsburgh.

Police Locate Vehicle and Child

According to investigators, officers discovered Baymon’s vehicle parked on William Street in Ross Township. When they approached, Baymon was found asleep in the driver’s seat with a firearm in her lap.

Her son, who had been the subject of the AMBER Alert, was discovered lying on the folded-down back seats of the car. Police said the boy was suffering from multiple traumatic injuries and possible broken bones. He was immediately rushed to UPMC Children’s Hospital for emergency care.

Charges and Ongoing Investigation

Baymon was taken into custody and faces several charges in Pennsylvania, including:
