Castle High School ends precautionary lockdown

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Castle High School was under a lockdown on Monday as law enforcement investigated a report that an unknown person entered the school with a weapon.

Officials with the Warrick County School Corporation sent a message to parents saying they received a phone call about an unknown person being let into the building with a weapon. However, officials later lifted the lockdown and said that no credible threat was ever found.

Students at the school are expected to be released after classes have ended. The Warrick County School Corporation says buses in the Newburgh area will be delayed due to the event…
