FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – There was a heavy police presence Monday afternoon north of downtown following reports of an early morning shooting.
Police were investigating throughout the afternoon in the 600 block of West State Boulevard near Wells Street. At one point, State Boulevard was shut down in the area, but it has since reopened.
The Fort Wayne Police Department confirmed officers were serving a search warrant in connection to the possible shooting, which was reported nearby in the 2300 block of Cortland Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m…
