Cobb County inmate dies while in hospital care for liver disease

An inmate at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center died Saturday while undergoing treatment for liver disease, the Cobb Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

Kaleb Anderson, 40, of Acworth, was booked at the jail Sept. 7 on charges of misdemeanor reckless conduct and second-degree cruelty to children, a felony.

According to his warrant, Anderson was accused of becoming intoxicated and falling asleep while his 6-year-old son was wandering around his neighborhood for over 30 minutes without supervision.
