LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The remains of a U.S. Air Force staff sergeant who died in the Vietnam War are being returned home to Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) said it will provide an escort for Staff Sgt. Gerald Gish.

His remains are due back in Kentucky on Thursday, Sept. 18, after nearly 50 years. Gish will arrive at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, and a procession will transport his remains to Berea, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
