NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Travelers at Nashville International Airport (BNA) faced massive delays Monday as roadways outside the terminal came to a near standstill, leaving some passengers stranded for hours and others missing their flights altogether.
The airport said high passenger volume caused heavy backups on entrance and exit roadways, but the exact cause has not yet been determined. At the height of the delays, car rental lines stretched for more than two hours. Some travelers abandoned their vehicles and ran on foot in hopes of catching their flights.
