Police said officers opened fire during a confrontation between two teenagers in East Harlem on Monday evening, leaving a 15-year-old boy wounded.
According to the NYPD, uninformed officers saw an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old exchanging gunfire in front of 221 East 123rd St. around 5:30 p.m. The 15-year-old was shot in the leg and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
