Runners, walkers and advocates for mental health are invited to take part in the Landrum 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. from the Landrum office in downtown Pensacola, located at 219 E. Garden Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit Lakeview Center, which last year served more than 27,000 children and adults facing mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.
The Landrum 5K aims to raise awareness about the vital link between physical and mental health. According to the National Institutes of Health, regular exercise can reduce anxiety, depression and negative mood while boosting self-esteem and cognitive function. Just 30 minutes of moderate activity, like brisk walking, three times a week can make a meaningful difference.
“Our inaugural event raised $15,000 to support vital behavioral health services at Lakeview Center, and last year we surpassed that with more than $17,000,” said Britt Landrum, III, President and CEO of Landrum. “We’re proud to see how the event has grown, and we’re aiming even higher this year to expand our impact on mental health services across Northwest Florida.”…
