Behavior interventionist accused of biting student at Providence school

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A staff member at Lillian Feinstein Elementary School in Providence was arrested earlier this month for allegedly biting and hitting a student.

In a letter to the community on Sept. 10, the school’s principal told families a “behavior interventionalist” was “engaged with a student under their supervision in a manner that violated our professional standards.” She was then charged with assault and placed on leave.

The letter also confirmed that another educator was put on leave for a “separate and unrelated matter” regarding “alleged unprofessional behavior” in a classroom setting…
