ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A local family is turning heartbreak into hope for others through an annual fundraiser honoring their late son.
Carey and Jen Born lost their son, Sonny, in December 2023, when he was just 15 months old. Despite his health struggles, his parents said he was always full of light and joy.
“Sonny Side Up is our name because he was so bright and sunny during his life despite all his stuff,” said Carey Born. “So we’re trying to keep that light alive and keep our sunny side up.”…
