Atlantic City braces as map shows high tides and rip current hell looming for East Coast

Strong winds and stormy weather are coming to the Southeast coast of the U.S., bringing potential dangers for residents.

A strong pressure gradient is bringing wind gusts of up to 20 mph or more to Atlantic City, New Jersey, according to the Weather Channel. Heavy rain is also expected to impact cities in North Carolina and Virginia, totaling between three and five inches.

There is also a potential threat of rip currents on several beaches in the town. “Always obey posted Beach Flags. If you enter the surf zone, always have a floatation device with you and swim near a lifeguard if possible,” read a severe weather alert…
