ROCA–(KFOR Sept. 15)–The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another scam, but this one has some serious undertones to it.
According to Chief Deputy Ben Houchin, a 31-year-old woman from the Roca area got a call last Friday from her father’s phone number, where she heard coughing and crying and an unknown male saying they had her father. Houchin says the woman was told to send $1,000 or her father would be killed. This ended up turning into a scam…
