Area of Enzyme Institute ‘deemed safe’ to return after suspicious package was found

MADISON, Wis. — A BadgerSAFE WiscALERT from 10:04 a.m. Monday deemed the area of Enzyme Institute on 1710 University Ave safe to return after a “suspicious package” was located.

The UW-Madison Police Department Dispatch was alerted of a potential suspicious package at the area Monday morning. Officers and K9 Ritter responded to the scene holding the perimeter until the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Hazardous Devices Unit arrived.

A BadgerSAFE WiscALERT was originally sent at 9:29 a.m. to avoid the area. Facility was evacuated as well…
