Springfield, MO – Weather Alert: Flash Flood Warning in Effect With Roads at Risk Until 7:30 PM

Texas, Mo. – Thunderstorms dropping more than 3 inches of rain sparked a flash flood warning Monday afternoon in east-central Texas County, raising concerns for drivers and residents in low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service office in Springfield, radar detected storms producing between 2 and 3.5 inches of rainfall across the region by mid-afternoon. The warning remains in effect until 7:30 p.m. CDT, with flooding already developing in creeks, streams, and along highways.
