CSPD: Stolen motorcycle found in stolen trailer

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a man has been arrested after police tracked a stolen motorcycle to the suspect, who attempted to run from officers in a stolen vehicle.

According to CSPD, on Monday, Sept. 15, at around 12:30 p.m., officers were called to the 2500 East San Miguel Street near Uintah Street and North Circle Drive in an attempt to find a motorcycle that was stolen overnight. The owner had called to report the vehicle and told police they were able to track it.

When police got to the area, the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Nathan Van Winkle, loaded the motorcycle into an enclosed trailer and ran from police. Another officer found Van Winkle’s vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the pursuit was called off when Van Winkle allegedly started to drive recklessly…
