CCSO investigates assault, stalking reports on Salmon Creek Trail

Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is actively investigating reports of sexual assault and stalking on the Salmon Creek Trail near Klineline Park.

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, a woman reported that a man ran up behind her and grabbed her while she was walking her dog. She described him as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall with a muscular build and shaggy brown hair. He was shirtless, wearing black shorts and black athletic gloves. The case is being investigated as Assault IV for sexual motivation, a news release by CCSO stated.

A second incident occurred on Monday, Sept. 8, when a woman reported that a man appeared to be recording her while she was running. She later saw him sitting on a bench, continuing to film her. He was described as very tan and muscular, about 5’9” to 5’10” tall, wearing a tan long-sleeve shirt and a face covering, the news release stated…
