Woman charged with neglect in apparent dog-breeding operation at Schenectady home

SCHENECTADY — A city woman is facing a slew of animal neglect charges for allegedly keeping several dogs in squalor in an apparent dog breeding operation she was operating out of her city home, where police found 32 canines in the basement.

Tiffany Johnson, 41, was charged earlier this month with 33 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, and failure to provide sustenance under the state Agriculture and Markets Law.  The offenses are misdemeanors.
