Third-annual Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival announces music lineup

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A tradition that began two years ago, the Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival today announced the music lineup for this year’s September 27 event at the Old First Ward Community Center, which is located at 62 Republic St.

The festival is free and open to all ages, with immersive workshops from noon until 6 p.m., as well as art displays and live music from noon until 10 p.m. The theme for this year’s festival is “Forged in the Old First Ward,” and will celebrate the “the grit, industrial heritage, and unwavering spirit of one of Buffalo’s oldest neighborhoods.”

“We’re excited to welcome Buffalonians to the Old First Ward for our third-annual festival, where visitors of all ages can enjoy free hands-on arts and musical workshops and concerts hosted by nine local bands,” event organizer Sara Heidinger said in a release. “We invite all to take part in a day dedicated to creative exploration and cultural celebration!”…
