LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Tenn. — The Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of vandalism at the historic Cravens House.
According to park officials, surveillance cameras captured the suspect around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, in the area near Cravens House. The man was reportedly with a group of other young men at the time of the incident.
The National Park Service notes that Cravens House is the oldest surviving structure on Lookout Mountain and played a significant role in the Civil War’s 1863 “Battle Above the Clouds.” The landmark, though not open to the public, remains one of the mountain’s most important historical sites…
