McCaysville Police captain to be released from hospital after being shot in face in line of duty

MCCAYSVILLE, Ga. — McCaysville Police Capt. Brantley Worley continued on to the biggest step in his miraculous recovery on Monday afternoon, as he is set to be released from the hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Tuesday following a surgery to repair a nose fracture.

Worley was critically shot in the face late Friday night while responding for a call for service at a home in McCaysville, which is near the Georgia-Tennessee state line.
