PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A crash on US 421/Salem Parkway is causing delays on Tuesday morning, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred at Mile Marker 221 on Salem Parkway, a very short distance away from where US 421 merges with Interstate 40, leaving Forsyth County heading into Guilford County.
The left lane of the road was closed as a result of the crash.
Traffic camera footage shows around 3 miles of traffic congestion extending back into Forsyth County as a result of the lane closure and crash.
There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
