The Huntsville City Council will vote on a proposed $343 million budget for next fiscal year at its next meeting on Sept. 25.
The proposed 2026 budget prioritizes quality of life amenities while providing more money for road construction and maintenance and additional public safety personnel, according to the city website. It includes a 2% cost of living increase for city employees.
