Kalamazoo Curling Club looks to create its own home

PARCHMENT, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo Curling Club is looking to build its own home in Parchment with partner help.

While the search is nothing new, the closure of Wings West in Texas Township and the expected shutdown of the Wings Event Center has turned up the heat for the club and others that depended on the ice.

The project is in its very early stages. Club president Arlene Carter said it leaves the door open for including partners on a plan to bring more ice to Kalamazoo.
