Man killed in Georgetown ‘industrial accident’ identified

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — Authorities have identified the man killed in what was reported by the Scott County Coroner’s office as an industrial accident at International Crankshaft in Georgetown.

County officials posted on Facebook just before 9 a.m. on Saturday that the contractor was killed while carrying out machine maintenance.

On Sunday, Coroner Mark Sutton told FOX 56 News that the victim of the accident had been identified as Richard Thurmond, 35, of Elizabethtown.
