MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A fight over Mobile’s water supply, recreational access, and who controls Big Creek Lake has been ongoing for most of the year. Now some on the Mobile City Council might consider annexing it into Mobile.
Right now, Big Creek Lake is in unincorporated Mobile County, and the land around the reservoir is owned by Mobile Area Water and Sewer System.
At a recent Mobile City Council meeting City Council member Joel Daves argued contamination of the water supply would be an expensive mess only the city would be big enough to clean up. Picking up on his comments, Councilman William Carroll suggested going a step further…
