New data on foot traffic provide even more evidence for what everyone in San Francisco seems to know: The neighborhoods are inching closer to economic recovery, but downtown is not.
Data from location tracking company Placer.ai show that although foot traffic is inching back toward 2019 levels, the gap between commercial corridors that are thriving post-pandemic and those that are struggling has widened.
