WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Low pressure will gradually swirl away from the eastern Carolinas in the days ahead. With the low still somewhat influential, Tuesday evening will have variable clouds, a 10% for a shower, brisk northerly breezes, and low temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s. For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect winds to veer more westerly, rain chances to shrink to closer to zero, and temperatures to reach for the toasty 80s.
In the tropics, an Atlantic disturbance recently titled Invest 92-L continues to track westward toward the Caribbean. Most computer guidance suggests a) 92-L will organize into a tropical storm named Gabrielle by this weekend and b) this system will curve north or northeast around Bermuda by next week. While there remains no definable North American threat with this item, your First Alert Weather Team will stay on it just in case. And remember, wect.com/hurricane has your family’s storm plan covered.
