Boca West Country Club Develops Future Hospitality Leaders Through Internship Program

At Boca West Country Club (Boca Raton, Fla.), preparing the next generation of hospitality leaders is as integral to the mission as delivering exceptional member experiences. That vision starts at the top.

“The internship program is something I have always believed would set Boca West apart,” says Matthew Linderman, CCM, President, COO & General Manager of Boca West. “We wanted to create an experience that not only benefits the students but strengthens the culture of our club. When you invest in future leaders, you invest in the future of your entire organization.”

Turning that vision into reality is Karima Lanfranco, Ph.D., Director of Learning and Development, who oversees the program’s design and execution. “The internship program was never about filling shifts,” Lanfranco explains. “It was about showing students that clubs can be a place where you grow, learn, and build a career.”

Now in its fifth year, the Boca West Hospitality Management Internship welcomes 24 students from top hospitality and business schools nationwide.
