Wisconsin Man Arrested for Public Indecency in Northbrook Police Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL — A Wisconsin man has been charged with public indecency in connection with a 2021 incident at a Northbrook shopping center, according to the latest police blotter released by the Northbrook Police Department.

Public Indecency Case

Police identified the suspect as Edgar Javier Rivera-Irizarry of Madison, Wisconsin.

Authorities said Rivera-Irizarry exposed himself in a shopping center parking lot on June 6, 2021. On September 8, 2025, he turned himself in to police and was charged with public indecency. A court date has been scheduled for October 7.

Other Arrests Reported

The blotter also listed other arrests from September 5–11, 2025, including:

  • Drug Possession: Jonathan T. Markocki of Deerfield was arrested after police say they found three glass pipes with residue and crack cocaine during a traffic stop on Terri-Lyn Lane.
  • Failure to Appear: Mary J. Howe of Northbrook was taken into custody on an active warrant for failing to appear in court on a DUI case.
  • Reckless Driving: Michael J. Galassini of Northbrook was arrested for allegedly driving 113 mph in a 40 mph zone before fleeing police. He was later found hiding a few blocks from his abandoned car.
  • Suspended License: Markita A. Well of Chicago was arrested for driving with a suspended license and an uninsured vehicle.

Reported Incidents

Police also responded to several reported incidents in the same period, including:

  • Theft: A landscaping company reported the theft of an $850 leaf blower left on a driveway during yard work.
  • Retail Theft: Loss prevention staff reported a suspect stole $225 worth of items from a store on Willow Road before fleeing.
  • Identity Theft: A Joshua Lane resident received multiple fraudulent Verizon packages containing iPhones and equipment ordered in his name.
  • Residential Burglary: A Butternut Lane resident reported $17,600 worth of purses and jewelry stolen from their home while under renovation.
