DOC announces release of high-risk offender

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota Department of Corrections is notifying law enforcement and the public about the pending release of a high-risk state prison offender.

Victim urges tougher hate crime laws after incident

Carl Six Toes, 49, will be released from prison Wednesday after serving the entirety of his sentence for sexual contact with a person incapable of consenting out of Minnehaha County, according to a news release. Because he served the entirety of the sentence, Six Toes will not be on parole supervision.

DOC Secretary Kellie Wasko said in a news release, there are several institutional indications Six Toes is at a high risk to offend.

Six Toes will be released to Sioux Falls. He is Native American, 6’2″, and weighs around 250 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes…
