Crews sprang into action to save a large cow that got stuck in mud north of Fort Collins on Monday night.
According to the Poudre Fire Authority, their specially trained large animal rescue team (LART) along with Battalion 1, Tower 1, and UCHealth responded to rescue ‘Miss Big Moo’ in the area of Grey Rock Drive after she was found to be stuck up to her hips in deep mud.
In order to save Miss Big Moo, crews climbed into murky and muddy water to attach special animal lifting straps, followed by an assist from Import Towing that brought her to safety…
