‘100%, yes’: Illegal drugs sold in Alaska among most expensive in the country, troopers say

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Illegal drugs sold in Alaska are among the most expensive in the country, Alaska State Troopers confirmed, saying this creates significant incentives for cartels and dealers to profit in the state.

Heroin or fentanyl can sell for upwards of $1,000 a gram in some villages, troopers say, which also drives other crimes committed to fund addiction.
