What you need to know about the 2025 Kern County Fair

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Fair is back for 2025 and kicks off Wednesday. Yes, that means the rides, the food, the carnival games, and, of course, the memories you make with your friends and family.

Here is everything you need to know from tickets, hours, events and more.

The Kern County Fair starts Wednesday Sept. 17 and runs through Sunday Sept. 28. The fairgrounds are located at 1442 S. P Street — between Ming Avenue and Belle Terrace.

Kern County Fair hours of operation

If you are planning on visiting the fair Monday through Thursday it is open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays the fair is open from noon to 11 p.m.

How to get tickets to the 2025 Kern County Fair

According to the fair website, if you visit on Friday, Sept. 19 the fair is open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Sept. 26, the fair is open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Parking

The general parking pass for the Kern County Fair is $10 and parking is based on availability, according to the fair’s website.

Tickets and Carnival wristbands

Tickets are available for purchase at the gates:

  • Adult admission: $15
  • Senior admission for adult 62 and older: $10
  • Child admission for children 6 to 12: $6
  • Child admission for children 5 and under: Free
  • Military with Military ID: Free
