Police investigating after visitor shot at UNC Health office in Cary

Cary police are investigating after a midday shooting Tuesday at a UNC medical office sent a man to the hospital.

Officers were called to the 6700 block of McCrimmon Parkway, near Panther Creek High School, just after 1 p.m., according to a news release. Alan Wolf, a spokesperson for UNC Health, said a visitor was shot in the parking lot of the UNC Health Panther Creek Medical Office Building.

A man with a single gunshot wound was taken to the hospital, and his condition was unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, police said…
