COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-It’s been 26 days since the region saw measurable rainfall—and there’s no sign of relief ahead.
The last time rain made the books was a mere 0.01″ on September 6th. August 21st was before that, it was 0.30″, and on August 13 and 0.88″ earlier in the month. Aside from those, just a few trace amounts have fallen.
Now, with such limited rainfall, drought concerns are growing. Roughly half the region—from Columbus northward—is already at risk…
