(WJET/WFXP)– One of the Erie community’s favorite family-friendly fall events is making its way back to Waldameer Park for another year, lighting the park up with “gourd” vibes and over 1,200 hand-carved pumpkins.
The annual Pumpkin Walk, presented by the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners, will return on October 3 and 4 for two nights of fall fun and discovery, all lit by hand-carved jack-o-lanterns created by Erie High School Students.

Attendees can enjoy the always festive light and sound show as they stroll through the park with educational stations to learn about invasive species in our area and how to help while enjoying their favorite fall treats from local food trucks.
The pumpkin walk will be going on from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., both nights, rain or shine. Anyone planning on attending is encouraged to dress for the weather.
