Play Xbox and Grab a Beer at Detroit Metro’s New Lounge

Last weekend, when I flew out of Dallas, I noticed a storefront that was stacked full of gaming systems and PCs, ready to be played.

Can you imagine a spot where kids and adults could pass the time with Mario Kart instead of doom-scrolling while waiting at their airport gate? Sounds Genius. Now, travelers at Detroit Metropolitan Airport can finally get in on the fun too.

Gameway, a company bringing gaming lounges to airports across the country, just opened not one but two lounges inside DTW’s McNamara Terminal.

Starting this month if you catch a flight, they are open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. The lounges offer Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and even retro games ready for travelers to hop on play while they wait for a delay. According to the owners, they offer games for all ages including everything from Mario Kart, to Fortnite…
