First residents move into The Elex at Fort Wayne’s Electric Works

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Electric Works has started welcoming residents to The Elex, a new mixed-use residential development in downtown Fort Wayne. This development is part of the second phase of a project aimed at enhancing community and economic growth.

The Elex offers 296 apartments, with a portion still available for lease. The development includes units reserved for residents aged 55 and older and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Amenities include access to a parking garage, community spaces, and a local food hall. A fitness and wellness center is set to open in 2026.
