Knoxville police testing out new drone technology for real-time information center

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department is taking a step forward in getting its real-time information center (RTIC) up and running.

The funding to build the RTIC was approved by the city council back in January. It is essentially a hub to monitor video from public and private surveillance cameras. Department leaders said it will help officers save time when responding to emergencies.
