MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Vice Unit has finished an investigation, leading to a major drug bust, News 5 has learned.
According to a news release from the MCSO, the drug bust occurred on Sept. 10, ending a two-month investigation.
Investigators with the unit followed leads that led to the execution of a search warrant at The Crossings at Pinebrook Apartments and an additional storage unit, the release said.
Officials seized:
- Nearly 10,000 suspected fentanyl pills
- 32 cases of 384 bottles of promethazine and codeine syrup
- 276 grams of suspected xanax pills
- Nearly 1100 grams of marijuana
- AR-style rifle
- Three handguns
- Narcotics paraphernalia
- Currency and jewelry, allegedly obtained through “drug trafficking profits”
“The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the community by disrupting drug trafficking operations and holding accountable those who profit from distributing dangerous narcotics such as fentanyl,” the release said.
