NBC News investigation shows steady decline in MMR vaccination rates, singles out Jefferson County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A months-long NBC News investigation reveals a steady decline in measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination rates for kindergartners across the country.

In a segment aired Monday night on NBC Nightly News, Jefferson County is singled out with records showing 64.9 percent of kindergartners in the county had both doses of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine for the 2024 school year.
