Roseville Motorcyclist Dies in Collision Following High-Speed Police Chase in Citrus Heights

A high-speed police chase in Citrus Heights ended in tragedy late Monday night when a motorcyclist collided with a car and was killed.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Devin James Newton of Roseville. The pursuit, which began over vehicle code violations, came to a deadly end at the intersection of Antelope Road and Mariposa Avenue.

According to ABC10, the chase began around 8:20 p.m. after Newton allegedly refused to yield when an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Antelope Road and Wonder Street. Newton reportedly ran red lights, blew through stop signs, and even switched off his headlights as the pursuit intensified…
