AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – High Plains Food Bank, Amarillo College Foundation and Snack Pak 4 Kids are among dozens of food banks to receive funds from Atmos Energy.
In support of Hunger Action Month, Atmos Energy has donated $750,000 to food banks across the eight states it serves. ‘Fueling hope and growth for our neighbors’ is an essential pillar of the company’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities initiative, and these donations will help thousands of our most vulnerable neighbors with additional resources to obtain the nutritious meals their families need.
“Food banks like High Plains, Amarillo College, and Snack Pak play a critical role in this community by offering access to fresh food as well as essential services such as nutrition education, advocacy, and assistance programs that address the root causes of hunger,” said Public Affairs Manager Michael Gonzales. “In the midst of Hunger Action Month, we are proud to make this donation and equip our nonprofit partners with additional resources to provide the most vulnerable families with immediate basic needs in the communities we serve.”…
