HSI, ICE arrest Mexican man with past conviction of hurting child

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 64-year-old Mexican national who was convicted of felony injury of a child back in 1985 was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in El Paso, an ICE official said.

Hector Rodolfo De La Torre, 64, remains in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.

On Sept. 11, ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents conducted a targeted enforcement action, successfully apprehending a man from Mexico who was in the country illegally and with a history of harming children, an ICE official said…
